Jerrica Pribula has been teaching at WAO High School since 2019, where she brought FCCLA to the area. In her six years at WAO, she has had multiple students compete at the national level and place top ten in the nation. She is originally from North Dakota and comes from a long line of educators. Inspired by her grandmother who wanted to be a home ec teacher but couldn’t, she received her BS degree for Family and Consumer Sciences from North Dakota State University. She has always wanted to be a teacher for as long as she can remember, so this is her dream career.
Mrs. Pribula believes in respect, rapport, and rigor for her students. She believes that all students have the right to be respected for what they already know in order to move forward and learn more. By creating an environment where they feel respected, they are more open to learning. Establishing rapport with students shows how much they are valued as individuals and hopefully makes them feel safe to explore new experiences. Rigor is necessary for students to feel challenged to achieve their goals for life.
FCS is learning skills for life!
